A toast.. to the Baguette

My favorite bread has to be the baguette. The crunchy crust and the soft center makes my imagination soar with all the wonderful things that I can make with it. The best part about this bread is that you can keep it for a week and still have a recipe for it!

A loaf of baguette lasts at least a week at my place and we make everything for toasts, tartines, french toast, warm chunks and serve it with soup, a bread-y gremolata and pudding! One loaf makes that much. But, the absolute best experiment/project would be to count how many different types of tartines you can come up with with one loaf and basic ingredients around you.

This is my first Tartine week, there will be more.

Now, lets break some bread!
